It would be over five years before Reyes told Gabe the truth about what happened that night, as Reyes feared that Gabe would not be able to understand. Reyes then hit the street hard and died upon impact as his corpse rolled across the dirt, however in the darkness, Reyes heard a voice asking him if he wanted to avenge both his own death and to get revenge on those who harmed his brother. ![]() As he was falling through the air, Reyes' last thought was a call to help to anyone who would listen, be it God or someone else, to save Gabe, as he blamed himself for the incident. The injuries suffered in the attack caused Gabe to lose his ability to walk, and Reyes was thrown from the car, flying through the air with his body covered with bullet wounds. Reyes put the car in reverse and used his driving skills to attempt to escape their attackers, however before long the Locos caught up with the brothers and fired at their car, causing them both to be hit with the bullets and their car to crash. When Reyes honked his horn, trying to get them to move out of his way, he was horrified to witness them throwing a molotov cocktail at them, causing the front of the Hell Charger to be engulfed in flames. Reyes attempts to save his brother's lifeĪs they drove down the street together, joking and teasing on another as usual, a group of the Fifth Street Locos pulled up in front of their car. Filled with his own ego, Reyes invited Gabe to join him for the race and they went cruising around the neighborhood, with Gabe teasing Reyes that he was not allowed to help him with his homework and Reyes would only help him fail if he tried. While he was quietly pushing the car out of the drive in order not to disturb his uncle, Reyes was caught by Gabe Reyes who questioned what he was doing.
